Thirty-Three Weeks Old

I am gonna be a talker like my mama :)  Yep, I am talking up a storm these days.  I have acquired some new babbling skills this week - and my parents love to hear me talk, especially my daddy since my new sounds include "da" and "dee".   So, I often say dada or daddy.  True, I may not yet know what I am saying, but I love seeing the smiles on daddy's and mommy's faces when I say these words.

The weather was great for most of the week, and then we finally got some rain toward the end of the week.  We've all been thankful for the rain due to allergies - for mommy, daddy, and maybe me too.  Yeah, I still have either a cold or allergies (daddy says allergies and mommy says cold - guess we should go with the one who is actually the doc in the family, huh?).  Either way, I am still pretty congested.  And, although I am not napping great during the day, I am sleeping well at night - for which my parents are very thankful.

Other news from the week (pictures below):  I got a new stroller, so I can now go for walks and face forward.  Last Sunday, I got to play outside while daddy washed their cars.

This picture makes mommy laugh
because I am scrunching up my nose just like she does :)

Thirty-Two Weeks Old

Last Sunday, I went with Daddy, Mommy, and NaiNai to visit Uncle Charlie, Auntie Abby, and Cousin Parker in Madison, Wisconsin.  Other than the car ride (which I did not enjoy at all - and I made sure that everyone else didn't enjoy it either), I had a fun afternoon playing with my cousin.  He's just a bit younger than me but we are about the same size.  You'll see in the pictures below our love for one another already. :)
On Wednesday, Mommy took me to see my two boyfriends.  Well, I guess I'll have to choose between these two brothers some day - but for now, I'll claim them both.  Mommy enjoyed time with their mom, Eury, and I got to play with big brother, Caleb, and younger brother, Jonathan.
The weather here has been amazing this week.  We've set record highs most days.  So, this has meant several days at the park.
Another fun thing for me this week happened on Friday.  My Auntie Celeste was over at my Nana & Poppy's house.  She helped them set up Skype.  So, I was able to talk to them on the phone and they could see me on the computer.  Hopefully, we'll soon get them a web-cam so I'll be able to see them too.  But at least I got to hear their voices and wave at them.
Because of all our time outside, Mommy & Daddy say I either have my first cold or have some seasonal allergies.  Either way, I'm coughing and sneezing some but otherwise seem to still be in pretty good spirits.
Lots of pictures this week, so ENJOY!

Thirty-One Weeks Old

Another BIG week in the Lee household

First of all, I hit another milestone:  I can now turn over from my laying on my back to my tummy (I've been going from tummy to back for several weeks now).  It's been fun to lay on the floor or on a bed and roll around in all directions.  There's a video below to show off my new skills.

A couple of firsts this week.
On Tuesday, it was above 50 degrees so mommy and I met NaiNai (daddy's mommy) at a nearby park (my first trip to a park).  While at the park I swung in a swing for the first time.  I wasn't too sure what to think of the whole thing.  Well, we only lasted about 5 minutes because although the sun was out and the temperature was warm, the wind was really strong and mommy didn't want me to get sick.
And, today I attended my first birthday party.  Happy First Birthday, Elena!  While at the party, I showed mommy's & daddy's friends how I'm struggling with "stranger anxiety" - I would not allow anyone else to hold me without bursting into tears - and a couple of times I cried even if someone got too close to me.  Mommy and daddy hope I grow out of this stage soon.  Even though it was a party, mommy wouldn't let me have any cake - that is, unless daddy snuck me some while she wasn't looking :)

My schedule continues to be pretty good but I have been a bit more fussy in general this week.  Daddy and mommy aren't sure why but hope that this is just a phase too.  I've even thrown a few short tantrums (wailing rather loudly for 3-5 seconds).  Mommy says it reminds her that we are all born with a sin nature - because I have never seen one of these tantrums in my mommy or daddy yet I have learned to do it nonetheless. Where does this come from?

Hope yall have a great week!
It was warm enough that I no longer needed to
wear the footed outfits so mommy put me in

This is just to show that I love both my feet:

Thirty Weeks Old

Today is my daddy's birthday.  I am excited to get to spend the day with him.  I gave him a great present earlier today:  mommy was holding me; daddy walked up and I reached out my arms for him.  This made him smile, and he said it was the best present.
Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Last Sunday, we went to church again.  Mommy & daddy decided to try me out in the nursery again.  And guess what - I stayed in there the whole time. Everyone was super happy.
This week's new foods: Gerber's chicken & vegetables, Gerber's turkey & sweet potatoes, mommy's homemade green beans, mommy's homemade pears, and Beechnut's mangoes.
Thanks for praying for my sleeping schedule this week.  It has gone much better.  Most days I take a one-and-a-half hour nap in the morning and in the afternoon. And some days I still need a cap nap later in the day - but not all the time.
On Monday, I'll be 7 months old.  My parents say that I am no longer a little baby but am becoming quite the big girl.  Here are the pictures to prove it:

I get a little messy when daddy feeds me

Happy Birthday to the best daddy in the world!
