Twelve Weeks Old

This week has been another good one.   Last Sunday, mommy left me in the nursery (only for about 20 minutes after she fed me) for the first time - I think it was harder for her than it was for me.     I definitely feel more alert and get to play a lot more during my wake times - so that is so much fun, for me and for mommy & daddy.   Mommy and I had a fun visit with her friends Jenny and Cindy (and cutie pie, Issac) on Thursday.
Several days this week, we've taken walks outside since the weather has been so nice.  Mommy always puts a hat on me to keep my ears warm.  And, she' always showing me all the things God created (trees, bushes, grass, birds, and sometimes even the deer).  Then she'll take me inside to look at one of her favorite of God's creations - she has me look in the mirror and see a cute little girl.
I also enjoyed today (Saturday) as I got to watch football with mommy - especially since those GA Bulldogs beat the FL Gators.  Mommy is teaching me to say, " GO DAWGS!"

I am getting super strong!

Eleven Weeks Old

It has been an exciting week around  here.  My newest cousin, Parker Charles Lee, was born in Madison, WI on Wednesday to my Uncle Charlie and Aunt Abby.  He's such a cutie - I can hardly wait to meet him.
And then on Saturday, I attended my first wedding - the wedding of Henry and Emily Yu.  It totally threw off my eating and napping schedule so I was pretty fussy the rest of the day (which explains why mom is posting this a bit later than usual) but I slept really good last night - so my mommy and daddy were thankful.
I'm pretty much sleeping through the night every night now.  And, my daddy has to remind my mommy that's pretty great for me only being 11 weeks old.
You'll also note in the video below that I've discovered the sounds I can make - so mommy and daddy really enjoy talking with me.  They keep saying that they are trying to find my tickle-spot so they can hear me laugh, but I have no clue what they are referring to (I just know they keep poking in the ribs and rubbing my feet) - guess I'll find out soon enough.

Here are the photos and video of my 11th week.  ENJOY!

And, I have found my voice the last few days.  Hope you enjoy listening to me talk as much as my mommy and daddy do!

Ten Weeks Old

Well, it's been a pretty up and down week here. It all started with getting those not-so-fun immunization (that's a big word for me) shots on Monday.  The nurse did a great job and was super quick - she even let me suck on my paci so I didn't cry so much - until the last one that is -- and daddy said he couldn't believe the size of that needle so he wasn't surprised that it hurt me so.  But, I was good in just a couple of seconds and glad to get in the car and head home.  I  was a bit fussy and tired the rest of the day, and I slept pretty good that night.
But the next few days I didn't eat so well so mommy was a bit worried. By the end of the week, I was back to eating better so mommy is thankful.
We didn't have as many play dates this week - so instead, mom took me to a nearby park to walk around one day and then shopping another day.  And, on Thursdsay, mommy needed a couple of hours to herself, so my NaiNai came over and played with me for a while in the afternoon.  Then on Friday, we went to visit mom's friend, Carol Kwak.
I'm sleeping better at night and now sleeping from after my 10:30pm feeding to about 6:00am.  Mom's still hoping for 7:00-7:30am but I'm not there yet.
Oh yeah - at the doctor's office on Monday, I weighed in at 13lbs, 7oz and am 24 inches long.  So, I'm growing well - Mommy and Daddy can't believe I'm already 2 feet tall.:)

Here are those photos and a video that yall seem to love so much:

I have found my hand and sure do like sucking on it!

Mommy gives me a bath about every other night -
and I sure do like it.

They know I'm not quite big enough for this yet
but it did make for a fun photo.

Nine Weeks Old

Hi friends.  It has actually been a pretty uneventful week around here - wait, what am I talking about?  Every week with me is eventful. :)
We visited a nearby church this past Sunday (mom and dad are kind of looking at churches in the area so that when I grow up I'll be in church and school with some of the same kids).  After the service, this older gentleman said I was so cute and then pinched my cheeks.  I thought my daddy was going to punch him - he really wanted to -- good thing we were at church :).  I mean, I know I have the cutest cheeks in the world, but that doesn't mean some strange man can pinch them.
This week my mom says it's been kind of like 5 steps forward, 3 steps back.  I guess she means that my schedule has been a bit off most of the week - I don't eat as much at each feeding as usual (but as you'll see in my pictures, I still have my cute chubby cheeks and legs so my parents aren't too worried); I've been waking up a lot in the middle of my naps so mom sometimes picks me up and holds me so I can sleep a bit more (but she is trying to be careful that this doesn't become a habit).  Mom was happy this morning when I didn't wake up at 4:40am - I actually slept until 5:15am :)  -- she is still trying to figure out how to get me to sleep all the way until 7am but for now, I'll have none of it.
And, I celebrated my 2 MONTH birthday on the 6th but I couldn't get mom to eat some cake so that I could enjoy it through her milk. :)   This also means that I need your prayers this coming Monday (10/10) as I go to the doctor for my first round of immunizations.  Pray for mommy & daddy too, please, b/c I hear it may be harder on them than on me.

Now for the fun photos and video.  ENJOY!
Mommy & Daddy say I have the best smile and really am a "CUTIE"

I love playing with daddy before he goes to work

My shirt says "grandma & grandpa love me"
Mom say that means my Nana & Poppy and
my Nai Nai & Ye Ye love me.
And, I love them too!

Eight Weeks Old

WOW! My mommy and daddy can hardly believe that I've been with them for 8 whole weeks.  It's been so much fun, and I can hardly wait to see what comes next.
As you'll see in my photos below, I'm growing up so much.  I can hold my own head up now - and I can push up on my arms when I'm on my belly.  Mommy says that means I'm gonna be turning over soon - and that she'll have to start being so much more careful where she puts me down.
This week was pretty fun.  These days I go to sleep after my 7pm feeding, only for mom to wake me up around 10pm to feed me one more time (she read it is called the "dream feed").  Then I sleep til around 4 - 5am  and then back to sleep until mom wakes me up around 7:30am to start a new day.  She's waiting for me to not wake up so early and sleep all the way until 7am, but I'm just not quite ready yet.
Also this week - Melanie (mom's friend from when they worked together in Vienna, Austria) came for a visit - and that was super fun.  And, I made my first trip to Olive Garden (one of mommy's favorite restaurants) to have lunch with mom's friends, Eury (and Caleb) & Carol.  I was sooo good that day - didn't cry even once in my car seat -- my mom was so happy.  And, on Friday, daddy didn't go in to work (b/c he was on call on Thursday night and he was up a lot - I even got to see him when I was up at 4:30am) so I had a lot of fun playing with him during the day and showing him all my new tricks.

OK - now for what you really want to see -- me in photos.

Be sure to take note of my daddy's bed head :)

Mommy put this in my hand - and I am holding on tight

My new favorite toy.  It makes great music - I especially like the drums.

Mommy and daddy laugh as I keep hitting myself in the head with this rattle

Look how strong I am  - holding myself up like this

These are from today - on my 8th week birthday :)
My parents dressed me in warm clothes b/c we went outside to walk around
and do some shopping

One of my daddy's patients made me this cute hat
