Nineteen Weeks Old

(sorry this is a bit later than normal - my mommy is super busy these days)

Another milestone this week:
After my 4-month check-up on Monday (in which I did pretty well - only cried a bit when that mean ol' nurse gave me those shots), the doctor said I could start some solids.  So, mommy & daddy got out the camera and gave me my first few spoon fulls of rice cereal.  It is taking some getting used to - what to do with my tongue and all, but I sure like learning to eat from a spoon.
Otherwise, it's been a pretty typical week.  Some days I wake up mommy and daddy early because I wake-up and decide to turn over.  Then I cannot turn back over to go back to sleep. So, mommy usually sees me on the monitor and will come in to turn me back over.
I'm not sure if I'll get to write next week because I'll be on a big adventure -- we are driving down to Georgia to see mommy's family.  So, please pray for mommy, daddy, and I for the LONG drive (about 17-driving hours so no telling how long with me :).
If I don't get to write next week, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  Mommy and daddy are telling all about God's amazing gift to us - His very own Son.  I pray you all experience LOVE, JOY, and PEACE this Christmas season.

Mommy says I am praying to bless my food :)

Could my cheeks be any cuter?

Eighteen Weeks Old

Yet another exciting week here in the Lee house.
At the end of last week, mommy and daddy noticed that I was getting more and more fussy as they woke me up for my "dreamfeed" around 10:15pm.  So, on Sunday night, they decided to try not waking me up and see how I did.  Well, to their amazement and JOY, I slept all the way until almost 7:00am - just over 10 hours.  They couldn't believe it.  And, I've continued it all week - but sometimes I do wake up around 6am.  And, now with the monitor, mommy notices that I wake up around 5am - 6am and play for a little while.  Sometimes I go back to sleep, but sometimes I turn myself over and can't get back to sleep so my mommy comes in and rocks me and I fall back asleep for a bit longer.
On Tuesday, I turned 4 months old. :)
One day this week I enjoyed sitting in the kitchen watching mommy cook and wash dishes.  She said that I was helping her out - and she even gave me a measuring spoon to play with (pictures below).  Of course, I just put it in my mouth - so that was super fun for me.
Toward the end of the week my daddy stayed home from work in the morning that day - mainly because he's been so super busy at work and was just tired.  But, I know the real reason was because he wanted to stay and play with me for a while. :)   I sure enjoyed having time with my daddy that morning.
Then on Friday, I woke up to see all this white stuff outside.  Mommy said that it was snow and, of course, had to snap a picture of me with my first snow fall.  With that, it's been super cold outside so mommy and I have ventured out a bit less.  We are trying to find new things to do around the house to keep me entertained.
I go to the doc for my 4-month check-up on Monday - and then mommy and daddy say that I can start with some rice cereal after that.  I am super excited as I am beginning to watch mommy and daddy eat and hoping to get to try some of that stuff soon.
Til next week, hope yall have a great week. (Mommy is beginning to wonder if I am going to have a southern accent like her :)

Seventeen Weeks Old

It's been another eventful week around here.

Last Saturday, my mommy, daddy, and I moved from their downstairs bedroom to their new upstairs bedroom.  That first night I stayed in my pack-n-play in their new room.  But, now I am sleeping in my crib in my own room - just down the hall.  This also meant that mommy and daddy had to buy a monitor so they could watch me/hear me during the night.  It's been a great week, and I am learning to enjoy my new digs.

I also got a new toy this week (pics below) - and I love playing in it and learning all the new things it can do.

Mommy and I make it a point to get out of the house at least once a day - sometimes we go to the store (even if just to buy some milk) or go for a walk in the neighborhood or just walk around the outside of the house a few times.  It's a bit easier now that I am skipping my fourth nap most days - so that means I am awake from about 4:30 until my bedtime around 8:00 - and that's a long time for me.  Mommy is constantly trying to find new things for me to do now that I am awake longer.  Let her know if you have any suggestions :)  (especially with winter coming soon and mommy says we wont be able to leave the house as often).

As you'll see in the video below, my mommy finally got one of my rolls on camera - mommy has to watch me so much more closely now that I can roll over.  And, you'll see that I am talking more and more - I love to hear my own voice -- and mommy and daddy really like it too.

My daddy worked really hard to get me to pose
with my feet together so you could see my little duckies

I have found my thumb - and boy do I like it
(take note of the UGA burp cloth my mommy made for me)

All bundled up in my car seat to go out - and I do
enjoy my car seat toys

My new ExerSaucer toy.

So many fun things to see and do
but I especially like this toucan

Sixteen Weeks Old

WHOA!!  It has been a super busy week around here.  And, I am not sure who is more tired - my mommy & daddy or me.  I'm worn out.
To start the week, last Sunday we went back to visit our friends at Parkwood Community Church, and it was so fun to show old friends how much I've grown.
Then mommy and daddy seemed really busy around the house, getting ready for our guests this week.  And, they had to thaw out the turducken they had ordered for the big festivities.  They explained to me that we would be celebrating my first ever Thanksgiving - and I have so much to thank the Lord for.
On Wednesday, my uncle Henry and cousin Natalie arrived from Houston.  My auntie Althea couldn't come because she is expecting to bring me a new cousin in about 20 weeks :)  - It was so fun to meet some of my family and get to see folks who look kinda look like my daddy.  Mommy was really busy in the kitchen most of the day getting ready for the next day.
On Thursday, my uncle Charlie, auntie Abby, and new cousin Parker arrived from Wisconsin.  It was super fun to see my baby cousin and know that we will be growing up together in the years ahead.  Then a bit later, my uncle Marc, auntie Olivia, and cousins Seth & Caleb arrived from Virginia.  I loved getting to meet my daddy's family (and look forward to meeting mommy's family next month in Georgia). And, they all kept telling me how cute I am.
But boy did we realize how I am an only child - I am not used to all this noise and all these people.  My mommy did her best to keep me on my schedule but there were times I was having way too much fun with all my family and didn't want to sleep for my usual full-length nap-time.  So, I'm actually sleeping a lot today - I told mommy what to tell all of you while I catch up on my sleep :).
Unfortunately, mommy and daddy were so busy spending time with family and cooking food that they didn't take many pictures of me.  Can you believe that they didn't take a single picture of me with my cousins or aunties/uncles?  What were they thinking??

Here are the few that they did manage to take:

Sorry there are no videos this week.  My mommy is falling down on the job :) -- or was just too busy cooking and cleaning.
