Twenty Months

Christ is Risen!  He is Risen Indeed!!!

Now that I am a BIG TWENTY months old, I can do all sort of things.  I am talking lots more (Mommy keeps trying to get it on video but I get quiet when she pulls out the camera).  It seems I add a new vocabulary word every day or so.  Most things Mommy and Daddy can understand, but I also have my very own language that they cannot seem to quite get.
I love to climb the stairs (I can now go up and down) - or climb anything I can find.  I love to RUN.  Sometimes, Mommy will say, "Ready. Set. GO!" And I will take off running.
With all my new found independence comes a few challenges as well.  I now  HATE to have my diaper changed.  My parents say it is sometimes like wrestling an alligator when they have to hold me down to change a diaper.  Also, I mostly want to feed myself - I will sometimes let Mommy help me, but other times I get rather mad when she tries (she says she is just trying to help me because I have not yet mastered the whole fork/spoon thing and she would prefer not to change my clothes after every meal).

We had so much fun for Easter.  We started the morning out together with a yummy breakfast.  Then Mommy got me all dressed up in a new pretty dress (though I had to wear a turtle neck and tights with it because it was still a bit chilly outside) and we all went to church. Everybody kept saying, "He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!" - and I thought that was pretty cool because they were talking about JEE (the way I say, "JESUS").  After my nap, the Hodgson family came over and we had an Easter Egg Hunt in the yard (the big kids hid eggs for Andrew and I in the front yard, and the daddies hid the eggs for the big kids in the back yard).  I especially like the marshmallows and jelly beans inside some of my eggs - and the grapes and crackers weren't bad either.   Then we had a BIG dinner and I ate LOTS of ham -- Mommy kept wondering where I was putting it because I ate so much.
It sure is FUN to be a big girl now, and I can hardly wait for more nice weather and more fun adventures outside!
