I continue to enjoy the orange veggies (squash, carrots and my favorite - sweet potatoes) but I must say that I do not at all care for the green ones. Those peas my mommy tried to feed me were horrible. I would have none of it - I kept gagging when mommy put them in my mouth - until she finally got the hint and gave up. But then she had the nerve to try again the next day - and I let her know that I still don't like them. My daddy says it's ok because he doesn't like peas either. But mommy says she'll keep trying. The green beans weren't quite as bad but they aren't very good either - I could tolerate them a bit better though. And, I like bananas now too - especially mixed in with my rice or oatmeal cereal.
I didn't jump out of anything this week but I have almost figured out how to flip from my back to my tummy. I've just got to keep working at it and I'll have it down in no time.
On Friday, mommy took me to my NaiNai's house so she could go get her hair cut. While there, NaiNai let me play the piano -- you'll have to watch the video below to see how talented I already am. :)
Mommy and daddy are noticing that I'm no longer enjoying when they let someone else hold me - or sometimes even when they leave the room. They call it "separation anxiety" or maybe "stranger anxiety" (they don't know which it is - but they say I'm too young for either) - I just know that I don't like being away from them these days. Especially last Sunday at church - I threw a fit and the nursery workers had to go get mommy from the worship service because I wouldn't calm down. I did a bit better on Friday morning when mommy and I went to MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) - but that was because a nice old lady held me and sang to me the whole time.
One other thing mommy and daddy love watching me do - when they read to me at night, just before bedtime - I LOVE to turn the pages of the books. I'm getting a pretty good hang of it and even try to turn the page before they finish reading the page. It's so fun watching them smile and hearing them say "Thank you" as I do it.
