Twenty-Six Weeks Old

I have two favorite toys this week: my exer-saucer (now known as my bouncer as you'll see in the video below) and my toes.  When I'm in my exer-saucer these days, I am so much more interactive.  I've figured out how to play with most of the toys on it and I can now jump up and down in it.  Mommy and daddy just sit, watch, and laugh at how much fun I'm having.  Secondly - even though it's a bit warmer out these days (it's been in the 40s most days this week), mommy still keeps my feet covered for most of the day.  But, when it's diaper changing time, I get to enjoy my freedom (daddy lets me have this free time a lot more than mommy).  I have now discovered my feet and have even figured out how to put my toes in my mouth a few times. God gave me some great toys to play with - my toes!

On Monday (2/6/2012), I'll be 6-months old.  A half a year!  And, I have just about outgrown all my 6-month clothes and am mostly wearing 9-month stuff.  It also means that I am now on a 4-hour eating schedule - so most days I eat around 7:15am, 11:30am, 3:50pm, and 7:40pm.  Mommy supplements her milk with solids at all the meals except the 4pm one.  This week mommy introduced me to pears - they are really tasty.  While at NaiNai's house on  Monday, she introduced me to tofu (mommy laughs because she probably never ate this stuff until she went to China in her 30's, and here I am eating it at 6 months).  I really like it and am thankful that NaiNai sent mommy home with some more for me.

Another big thing for our family this week is that we cancelled our cable subscription.  This isn't a big deal to daddy b/c he has never watched much tv but I think my mommy is going through withdrawals.  Sure, she got used to not watching it much while living overseas, but she had gotten addicted to it again in the last few years.  So, although she misses it, she knows it is a good thing and has freed up a lot of her time to do other things.

Mommy asks that you please pray for my separation anxiety.  I am not enjoying them dropping me off at the nursery at church.  The last three weeks I've screamed until the nursery workers got mommy to come be with me.  Pray that I'll go through this transition quickly and my parents will best know how to help me through it.

Well, that's my week in a nutshell.  I hope you have had a good week.   Until next week, here's some photos and video:

Enjoying the stuffed animals in a corner of my room.
(Mommy knows I look like a boy in these blue clothes
but they were just too cute - and on sale :)

Enjoying play time in my crib after my morning nap

My new favorite toy - my TOES

Enjoying Hershey's Chocolate Sauce
(well, that's what daddy says my prunes look like)
