Forty-Two Weeks Old

Not such a fun week around here.
It all started with a little spit-up on the way to church last Sunday.  After church, I took a quick nap and when I woke up, Mommy noticed I was a bit warm.  Yep, I had a slight fever of 101.5.  Not too bad so we went out to a birthday lunch for Mr. John Kwak (Daddy's friend).  I fell asleep on the way home and when I woke up from this nap, Mommy said I felt really warm.  Now my temperature was 102.7.  Daddy and Mommy gave me some Tylenol and then Mommy and I got in a cool bath.  I felt much better after that and slept through the night.
On Monday, I had my 9-month check-up at the doctor. I still had a fever of 101.5 so they didn't give me my next vaccination (for which I was SUPER thankful).  The doctor checked everything and said that everything looked good - I probably just had a virus.  He warned that once the fever broke, I might break out into a rash (which I definitely did on Wednesday).
My 9-month stats:  28 inches long (about 75 percentile) and 19 lbs, 5 oz (50-60 percentile).
My fever was at its height on Monday night (at 103.7) but some Tylenol and another cool bath brought it down.  Mommy and I got some Infant Advil on Tuesday and that did the trick.  My temperature finally came on down, and the rash started to appear on Wednesday morning.
After all that yuckiness, I needed some fun.  So on Wednesday afternoon, Mommy and I went for a play date with Phillip, Stephanie, and Gabrielle Voland.  They had some fun toys, and I enjoyed getting to play with Gabrielle.
Thursday afternoon we got out of the house again by going to visit NaiNai and then to a park near her house.
On Friday, NaiNai came over to play with me which allowed Mommy to go out for a much-needed hair cut.  While Mommy was gone, NaiNai put me on my potty, and I took my first poopy in the potty (beware - picture below).  Everyone was so excited - and I still don't understand what the big deal is.  Guess now they will be putting me on that pink throne every time I start grunting.  They say it's all part of growing up.
