Thirty-Nine Weeks Old

This has been such a FUN week.  WHY?  Because my Daddy took the week off of work and has spent the whole week with us.  I mean, he's had to do some paper work and stuff, but he mostly does that when I'm sleeping, so I have had TONS of time with my Daddy.  We've been to the park, out shopping, to the Naperville River Walk, and tons of time playing in the house and in our yard.  And, I've shown him how much I love hanging out with him by saying "dada" loads of times this week. :)

Some everyday things that I need to share (document so I remember it when I'm grown-up):
 - At nap time, mommy and I walk around upstairs and say "nap-nap" (instead of "night-night") to 4 things (pictures below): the Thor statue (thanks Uncle Charlie for giving it to Daddy), the bust of King David (where Mommy always tells me about how she hopes I grow up to be like him, with a heart after God), the leg-lamp (yep, my Daddy has a small version of the leg lamp from the movie "A Christmas Story" - his medical assistants gave it to him a few years ago), and the Coca-Cola bear (Mommy's Coca-Cola collection includes a plastic bottle in the shape of a Christmas ornament with a polar  bear on it - I always kiss the polar bear).
  - At nap time and bed time, as Mommy rocks me for a few minutes, she sings this song to me (to the tune of "Jesus, Jesus, Can I tell you how I feel"):  "Thank You Father for our sweet and precious girl. You have given her to us. Thank You, Lord."
  - If I am crying or fussy, usually in the car, then Mommy will sing one of two songs which will almost always quiet me down - both sung to the tune of the French song, "Frere Jacques"
  1. Liangzi Laohu (a chinese kids' song): liang zi lao hu, liang zi lao hu, pao de kuai, pao de kuai, yi zi mei you yan jing, yi zi mei you er duo, zhen qi guai, zhen qi guai  (English translation: two tigers, two tigers, running fast, running fast. One has no eyes, one has no ears. So strange. So strange)
  2. Caitlyn Lee (mommy made it up to the same tune): Caitlyn Lee. Caitlyn Lee. Mommy's Sweet Pea. Daddy's Honey. We love you so. You are our gift -  Gift from God. Gift from God.

I'm now eating a lot of the same things as Mommy and Daddy.  This week I had some of their Beef Stew and some of Mommy's homemade Chicken Pot Pie (Thanks Nana for teaching Mommy how to make this - I really like it!!).  For snacks, I love for mommy to cut up some fresh bananas, mangoes, or pears.

Enjoy some of our pictures from this week:
